So blessed to have a dear friend, Chu Hui, who has arranged a tatting class this morning with Ailyn after knowing that I am keen to pick up this new craft.
Ailyn shared with us a short history on tatting where it first started in the European and the many lovely projects she has completed. I like one of the projects she done, it’s a beautiful Owl. Totally forgotten to take a photo of it.
Anway, it was a 3 hours class but I only managed complete 2 rings as I was struggling on holding the shuttle, which yarn to pull, the first half and second half of the double stitch, picot and so on…
This is the started kit that Ailyn has kindly and generously prepared for us.
And this is the friendly Ailyn… *ssshhh… class in process.. Do not disturb!*
Tatting is very interesting and lacy end-product. For beginners, it can be quite tiring on the eyes and perhaps on the shoulder. So whether what you do, always take a break when your eyes are feeling tired and do get up to do a little stretch, ok! *wink wink*
